Phone Repair Basics

R750 full workshop

The hands-on workshop on this page. When booking opens, a R300 deposit secures your seat and the R450 balance is paid on the Monday. Only 10 seats per workshop.

Why it pays: graduates charge R200 to R400 for one screen repair. Three repairs and the course has paid for itself.

Questions people ask

Do I need experience?▼
No. The course starts from zero. If you can hold a screwdriver, you can do this.
Must I bring my own tools?▼
No. Every tool, practice phone and part is on your table when you arrive.
Is the deposit refundable?▼
The deposit is not refundable, but it transfers once to the next course date if you cancel more than 7 days before. If we ever cancel or move the course, you choose: full refund or free transfer, honoured immediately.
Is it worth R750?▼
Graduates charge R200 to R400 for a single screen repair. Two or three repairs and the course has paid for itself. After that, the skill is yours for life.
I live in Ashton or Montagu. Transport?▼
Students from Ashton and Montagu usually share lifts. Book your seat and we'll connect you with others from your town.
What if I don't get one of the 10 seats?▼
The starter workshop runs once a month. If this one fills up, you go first in line for the next date. Your deposit locks the date you choose.
What must I bring?▼
Nothing. Maybe a jacket. Coffee is ready from 12:30 on the Monday.
